Network principles:

Student Voice

the network supports and amplifies the voices of secondary school students. The decisions and participation of students is prioritised over that of teachers and schools. Teachers and schools are involved in order to support students.

Democracy and participation

we strive to reach decisions democratically between students and between schools. We use consensus decision making to maximise  participation of students and schools in our network.

all students and schools the network work together as equals and have an equal say decision making.

Learning and skill sharing

we embrace student activism as learning and work towards an ideal of all our network activities being organised and run by students themselves.

Wherever possible teachers allow students to undertake roles and responsibilities with adult support. Tasks are shared and rotated between schools and between students to ensure that as many students as possible can learn new skills.
